WE ASK FOR NOTHING RICH OR RARE / EI IHKA AU JA HIILGUST MA, Op.1 No.4
Translation Joel Sang

Christmas song "We Ask for Nothing Rich or Rare" ("En etsi valtaa, loistoa") from Five Christmas Songs op. 1 by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius is one of his best-known Christmas song. This song has had a very special place among the Christmas repertoire of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tõnu Kaljuste for years. However this is the first time for the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir to sing and record the a cappella mixed choir arrangement in estonian of this piece. Music video was inspired by the wonderful translation of the lyrics made by Joel Sang and it was filmed in Nov 2021 in St. Nicholas Church, Tallinn, Estonia, under the Christmas tree that has traditionally been decorated by Shishi every year.
