The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh made a State Visit to Estonia in 2006. Their visit included a concert of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir under the baton of Paul Hillier OBE, the choir’s Principal Conductor and Artistic Director, at KUMU, the Estonian Art Museum.
The concert featured "O Lord, make thy servant Elizabeth our Queen" composed by William Byrd in 1572 and dedicated to Queen Elizabeth I, „Õnnis on inimene ("Blessed is the Man") by Cyrillus Kreek and "Which Was the Son Of..." by Arvo Pärt.
The concert included the premiere of „Rejoice, Rejoice, Rejoice!" that the British Embassy had commissioned for the occasion from Toivo Tulev.
Online concert "Eyes of the Beholder" is the peak of the Estonian Music Days festival. ERSO, EPCC, soloists and conductor Mihhail Gerts will be performing contemporary music by Baltic composers.
With the concert "Beethoven & Kotzebue", we shed light on an exciting collaboration that took place more than 200 years ago.
