On the day when Veljo Tormis would have turned 90 the concert hall of the Noblessner foundry was reserved exclusively for his music. Tõnu Kaljuste together with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra presented a retrospect of his work. It was as if Tormis himself was looking back on his music, since the connecting axis of the programme was "Reminiscentiae", a collection of his early vocal works arranged for string orchestra, which the composer had described as „a reminiscence, a dream, a recollection, a farewell to his music and remembrance of his life “. The concert features different facets of Tormis’ music – works for choirs, voices and orchestras, settings of poetry and folklore and iconic landmarks of Estonian film music.
